I would leave it like that too but talk about a price reduction because it was not executed according to DIN…. But that leads to arguments, it is better to check something like that immediately… Then you can intervene, afterwards it is always awkward…. The argument would be that afterwards you can no longer see the cables… You pull them out, the next tenant drills through a cable across the wall where you wouldn’t expect it…. It is always annoying….

He should offer you some nice-to-haves as compensation, e.g. several sockets for free, a few two-way switches, or whatever else you want. Maybe also the garden lighting if everything was already ordered through the main contractor.

I would not have new slots made either. However, in my opinion, some form of concession is necessary. It's not about arc seconds, but this is definitely not executed professionally. If one now refers to a DIN standard with this appearance, I would leave a fair review including pictures on the internet. If this is the company's standard, future customers should know about it.

Tell me. Do you see different pictures than I do? Where is a cable running across the wall? Anyone who drills 10cm to the left or right of the outlet center is to blame themselves. This is being ridiculously exaggerated, really ridiculously. I also don’t believe that an expert would deem something like this non-compliant in doubt.

Reminds me of my apprenticeship. We were supposed to lay cables in protective conduits above a drywall ceiling before the Eastern Europeans closed the ceiling. They already brought in Poles for that 20 years ago. They had 2 students with them who earned some extra money during the holidays, both trained EBTs. When they started with the spirit level, we couldn’t stop laughing...

I doubt that you work 100% in your job the way you demand from the craftsmen who usually earn less than 20 EUR gross/hour for it. If it were a surface-mounted installation. Ok. But such an uproar under plaster because the slot runs +/- 2-3 cm.

Are you by any chance an engineer at Audi? ;)

In the first picture top left, for example, the cable is already laid quite diagonally.

Do you mean me as an engineer at Audi?

We supply Audi, but if my work looked like that, it probably wouldn’t last long.

I have no idea if this is normal or within standards in picture 1. To me, it’s neither horizontal nor vertical. Two acquaintances who made the slots themselves (no craftsmen and not from the construction industry) did it significantly better.
