Hi, unfortunately I can't say. The report only specifies the required thermal conductivity of the ETICS (0.032 W/mK). How he arrived at the "old value" - no idea. However, he did look at the house and took notes.

@pommesmann So how he comes to that is beyond me - if you calculate "backwards" you get a lambda of 0.30 for the current brickwork. A normal Poroton probably had around 0.18 from '86. If the deliberately poorly calculated initial U-value were to be used for "before-after" considerations in terms of cost savings, the results would be greatly skewed and you would wonder where the savings are. -ks

There is potential here to conceal an administrative offense – which can be punished with up to €50,000 – through such explanations. The legal situation is, after all, a fact and cannot be generally negated by exception clauses.

I realize that the thread is already a few days old, but maybe the creator is still around here and can share what became of the (in my opinion) already very adventurous undertaking.

I have already searched a bit in the forum - but only found "new construction topics" in the category "insulation/isolation."
We are planning to energetically renovate a house (built 1987). An energy consultant has already made a report/assessment.
According to the energy consultant, we could reach KfW 115 or even 85 if, besides roof/windows/heating (pellets), we also insulate the exterior walls (36cm brick) with 12cm external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS). According to his report, this would reduce the U-value from 0.60 to 0.19.
But is that really necessary with 36cm brick? Do I need such a low U-value? (possibly a requirement for the KfW loan?)
Additionally, of course, a room ventilation system would be added.

Oh yes, I really can't help myself, but: there are infinitely many things that are more fun when you are already throwing your money out the window. Although the topic "windows" is the only thing that might really need renewing (especially the seals)...
