and no comfortable step on your terrace, suddenly the mother-in-law of the visitors is sitting there because she has discovered your shade in the scorching heat

The motivation is not entirely clear to me: do you want to spare the little leather soles of your visitors the gravel path, or do you have a highly personal and non-transferable right of way for this path?
Back doors are always better the fewer people know about them.

The motivation is that the city requires me to make the development from the official street. Here my house number will also be visible and someone can drive to it, e.g., postman, guests who do not know the on-site situation, ambulance, fire brigade, etc. Someone who knows their way will probably never come from there, I guess. I myself want to make parking spaces on the traffic area as well, in such a way that a footpath still passes alongside for the aforementioned people. But I agree with you, most people will not come from there but via the gravel road.

Not me, because I would never claim that. I consider the opposite to be more likely: that most people come via the house number path. Show your property in more detail and let the other discussants make suggestions on how to position the ensemble more cleverly. It seems to me that a planner who admires Pyrrhus as a great general is at work here.

Do I understand correctly that you want to block the official emergency route with parking spaces? Bad idea...

Morning,
well, those are luxury problems, make the path however you like.
The guests can also park on the street.
I already feel nice that I planned a guest room and an extra shower in the guest bathroom.
but an extra driveway is going a bit too far for me...
Cheers Olli
