One way or another, the sun will glare in both variants, which will require necessary shading. However, the light incidence above the TV will probably be more disturbing even without direct sunlight.

I would rather consider leaving out the window entirely and instead make the terrace door on the west side larger, for example, as a lift-and-slide door.

Sofa with a view outside.
I also like the window strip, it’s not the only window after all.

The glare was a thought. But probably not so dramatic. Since the neighbor is to the west, as a "glare protection." His house is set back a bit, so it goes more to the right on the plan. I am slightly above the building envelope to the left on the plan (south). Thus, the western terrace door could be in line with his house, while the strip window is in line with his house height.

Here’s another idea... maybe a bit crazy, to mount the TV on the upper wall of the plan using a swivel bracket

I would do it the way Andre77 suggests. We do it similarly - on the wall next to the window there is a shelf with all the equipment, and the TV is mounted on a swivel arm attached to it. Further back - in your floor plan that would be by the two terrace doors - we have a retractable screen and above the couch a projector. Very great for movie nights.

The question, however, is how often you watch TV. We only do it in the evening. If it runs during the day for you, the swivel TV might be in the way.

I could also well imagine the TV under the light strip, but during the day the window would then probably have to be shaded, otherwise it would become uncomfortable.

after I wrote the idea about swiveling, I actually got the idea to place a projector above the couch and have a screen that comes down for watching.
