I would prefer if we had a construction company, but the question is how do you find one? I'm really going crazy right now, I search and search and on one site company XYZ is praised and on the other it is cursed.

So a BU that works together with other craft companies! Practically speaking, in my opinion, it's cronyism. Because in the end, there are many contact persons and not just one, as with the GU/GÜ. From my experience, there are architects who have their "species." And where that has worked like that for years. And if the species deliver proper work, it results in the outcome. The model mostly only works regionally.

My experience: The bigger the company, the further away from the future place of residence, the better the salesperson's outward appearance.
Inform yourself in the nearby area about who has proper references. Simply drive to a new development area in your vicinity and, depending on how open people are, try to start a conversation.
We did the same. And because of that, we ended up with our building partner.
Why wander far away when the good is so close! :)

No, I only have my architect as a contact person. The company specializes in passive houses, we only build Kfw 70, but the subcontractors of "my" construction company do adhere to the quality standards (at least I hope so ;) ) He has a good reputation in the region. @bigblue: just take a look around your construction areas to see who is building with whom. Maybe there are some starting points, maybe even a house under construction that you like?! Just ask :) In our construction area, people happen to meet on weekends, then you can chat. Builders are often found at their construction sites on weekends :)

or you can google [Hausbautagebuch] and your region/city... maybe there is something.

Tip: a house is never built without problems. You will always read something negative. But you have to filter it accordingly. As long as the basement is not wet and the bricks don't fall out of the mortar, if it's only minor issues, then everything is fine.
Our [sagte] to us: in case of problems, you have to talk and find an agreement. I haven't read anything negative about [Unserem] yet, but he is also only "regional" ;)
