Traffic light umbrella does not close

How much more expensive would an upgrade to something satisfactory for you be? If new tools have to be purchased first, and yes, none of you have experience with it either, then maybe that’s not the most optimal solution

We probably want to have a permanent roof built over the terrace in 2-3 years, connected to the house. That’s why the umbrella is only rudimentary; I don’t want to spend 500€ on a good one now.

No, not at all. The crank is not considered in the manual at all, the umbrella came pre-assembled. Actually, we shouldn’t even see the screw. Then I’ll buy a small tube, if it holds the umbrella would otherwise be great.

Update on the umbrella issue: We have now coated the screw with 2-component adhesive for metal, carefully reassembled everything, and waited 24 hours. Now the umbrella opens and closes as desired. We hope the solution lasts a long time. :)
