Hello everyone,
in just over two weeks would be our topping-out ceremony. Due to the current Corona situation, it is out of the question that we will celebrate this with craftsmen, our new neighbors, and our parents. However, it also does not seem appropriate to us not to thank the shell builders, who, by the way, did an excellent job. Perhaps a "craftsmen lunch package" nicely wrapped handed over to the supervisor for distribution? Inform the neighbors that the celebration will be made up for or better not inform them at all? What do you think about this? How would you want to hold a possible topping-out ceremony in the current times? Thank you all!
Best regards from
T. Liederbach

Such a small package sounds good and people are happy. Unfortunately, the topping-out ceremony will probably be canceled, but there is also a sealing celebration that can be held. Provided the ordeal is over by then.

It is a pity but better to cancel it. A replacement event can follow later.

Craftsmen usually receive an envelope with some bills at the topping-out ceremony. They mostly forgo lunch, although a bottle of beer on Friday afternoon is usually accepted,
