Hello,

I am new here in the forum and currently thinking and planning a bit about building my own home!
I would like to know to what extent one can use exposed concrete for walls, ceilings, stairs, etc....
Specifically:
- How does the price of a concrete wall compare to a masonry wall?
- Who offers something like that?
- How do you get electrical installations neatly into the wall? (Without chiseling grooves...)
- Screed/concrete as an exposed floor cost per m2?
- Stairs, how and where?

As you can see, lots of questions?
Can someone help me out? I definitely want exposed concrete walls :)... But it's all a question of cost...

Best regards, Jörg

So currently there is lime cement plaster, precast ceilings, and cement screed - of course, it is not designed to be visible, but right now it doesn't feel very cozy :D I think to make it look good you have to plan it very well (or have it planned) - including the interior design. It can certainly be done - I also don't think it is that hard to find someone for that. I would guess that the installation is poured in at the same time?! Otherwise, ask the construction experts, they might give you a more professionally nuanced answer.

Why do you want to build a house? Wouldn't it possibly be more interesting for your wishes to get involved in a project that converts industrial facilities into apartments? Have you looked into the market regarding this?

There is no such thing here... Besides, I don't really like doing everything concrete with concrete... But I would like to get information about everything...

I ground the concrete slab with core activation in our new building. This is what it looks like at the moment:

The floor was treated before the house was set up.
The surface is still quite rough. I still have to think about how to proceed.

Since I was able to use grinding blocks returned from rental, the costs were 300€ for 250 m²

Is the heating embedded in the slab like in a hall or an office complex?
