Sure, but my patience is running out slowly. As an Aries, it’s not particularly big anyway :-)
We signed the contract over a year ago and actually hoped (until August 2017!) that we would already be in by Christmas 2017. But due to various delays (e.g., building authority!!!) the house was only erected in January. Since then, I could watch the "growth" almost every day, which was totally wonderful and relaxing!
The standstill now is just exhausting me.
I have been living "temporarily" for a year now (marriage, move, job change) in my husband’s tiny apartment and my things are in storage.
Slowly I just want my things back and a proper kitchen with equipment!!!!!

The worst thing now is when the date shifts to "undetermined." As long as I have a date to "look forward to," it’s bearable.
So, enough crying now and back to preparing. As soon as the scaffolding is gone, I can continue planning the garden...

Hello Tanita,

you can heat the construction with a construction heater, that would solve the temperature problem. Depending on the device and room volume, of course, it costs money (electricity or gas).

Best regards

Well, and when the underfloor heating is installed, (which by the way usually takes 1 day) you still have to wait for better weather to be able to pour the screed.

My tip:
Forget the construction heaters etc. and just wait. In winter, you can’t build properly. You run the risk of getting a defective construction, and that won’t make anyone happy.

New update: yesterday the screed was poured. The project manager had previously set up 3 tiny fan heaters (10€ from the hardware store, we have those too) for some time, the house was cozy, but the power consumption has increased eightfold since the start of construction. Hopefully the outdoor unit of the heat pump can be installed soon so that we can use the heating. P.s.: No, it was not warmer than 2 weeks ago...! Yes, I feel cheated... Nevertheless: it goes on!!! :-) From tomorrow, the ventilation starts.

Rather don’t air out at all for about a week if you care about your screed...
