Timber panel construction - exterior wall thickness = 10 cm sufficient?

Good morning, we wanted to buy a single-family house which consists of masonry at the bottom and timber panel construction (prefabricated) at the top. In the timber panel construction, the exterior walls are only about 10 cm thick in total. Is that sufficient or would a new insulation definitely need to be installed afterwards? So that you don’t have to keep the heating on continuously in winter? And what costs would be expected?

Show me the heating cost statement. And 10cm is very little, I would have concerns just because of the sound.

Thank you for your answer.
[*]Energy certificate type: consumption certificate [*]Energy value: 184.1 kWh/(m²*a) [*]Energy efficiency class: F
An old demented lady had lived there before and had annual heating costs of over €2000. The real estate agent said that she probably just left the heating running. We only got to see the consumption certificate.

I rather fear that the masonry walls drive up energy consumption. Can you find out how thick the walls are? How old is the house? How big is the house? Gas heating? If you want to reduce energy consumption, then only a thermal envelope and an efficient heating system are an option. Otherwise, you just have to expect the 2k per year.

Thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately not right now. I only have the one photo available where the wall thickness can be guessed.

The house is from 1980 with 145m².
The electronics are also from 1980
Heating: gas heating

Unfortunately, I do not have exact building dimensions available.

if you want to improve the insulation, you should address the entire house, walls, windows, doors, roof. The costs, roughly 100-150K€, you will never recoup with the savings, so get advice and calculate carefully
