Tiling work in the bathroom - Is it allowed to do it this way?

Dear forum,

For my new build, I have chosen 60x60 tiles for the bathroom. The room has the following dimensions: width at the height of the sink 213 cm, width in the shower 182 cm (due to a larger pre-wall) and bathroom length 388 cm.

As can be seen from the pictures, exactly two whole tiles are placed in the middle. The tiles were cut on the left and right. In my opinion, with a width of 182 cm, exactly 3 tiles could have been placed side by side.

Furthermore (harder to see in the photo), two tiles were again cut in the middle of the room at the height of the half-high drywall, which could actually have been laid continuously.

Could one of you take a look at this and give me advice on what to do now?

Hello Theo, I cannot initially identify any defect. As far as I can see, the tiler has aligned according to the joints of the floor tiles, which is indeed correct. The question is, was it discussed beforehand how it should be installed?

Hello neige, thank you very much for the response.

However, it is not only about the shower, but also about the floor tiles themselves. With a minimum width of 182cm, three complete 60cm tiles would have fit both on the floor and on the front.

Nothing was discussed with the tiler beforehand. However, I would have expected at least one call if tiles were going to be cut on the left and right.... :-(

I think the tiler really thought it through carefully. 182 cm ... there probably would have been some space left on the left and right. And, even if not, now the joint in the wider part of the bathroom continues very nicely: And the wall at the back of the shower looks really great. I like it very much.

Would 3 tiles fit side-by-side on the back wall? Yes then it is nonsense, no then he thought very well.
