But planning the bathtub according to the tile pattern now also seems very "monk-like".
The bathtub was not planned according to the tile pattern. Only if there are 62 cm of space above the bathtub to the end of the front wall, can there fit exactly 2 tiles with a height of 30 cm. So before starting to plan a small strip of tiles, the bathtub is simply placed on the floor tiles to raise it so that exactly 2 tiles fit above the bathtub. This was not a big deal, and the tiler informed us more about it than was discussed. Personally, I also find it much less complicated to simply tile under the bathtub than to start doubling the bathtub support somehow.
In retrospect, I still consider planning the tiles and tile measurements together with the bathroom a good idea. Unfortunately, that was not possible for us, and in some places, you really have to ponder together with the tiler how best to lay them.
