See #11. What did the artist retrain to become a tile setter from?

Oh dear okay the joint image was definitely not created by a professional. I would say take everything down and think beforehand about how it should look, preferably including pictures, laying plan, etc.

Very unaesthetic. Sorry.

I wouldn’t try to align the joints of the tread surfaces (doesn’t work anyway), nor try to align the joints of the front edges with those of the tread surfaces.

Always staggered relative to each other. Then it wouldn’t have bothered to have one more joint on the long steps.

I stand by my opinion: The idea of using two tile formats to avoid joints kills the appearance. For the long steps, it simply doesn’t allow for staggering.

That your tiler and the salesman were thrilled about that...

So you wouldn’t have used a 60 cm format in the middle of the running line as I suggested here?

This thread should actually be pinned as a "dear children, please do not imitate" example for all large-format fans with spiral stairs.

I don’t think I fully understood your suggestion?

I would have only bought 60*60, tiled with staggered joints on consecutive steps, and for the long ones there would have been an additional joint, so what. Very simple and would have looked natural. Now it’s a mess.
