Tiles on a half-spiral staircase - who has experience with that?

I didn’t actually mean a macro snippet, but that you can also see in context how the staircase is "cut". And that you should have gone through that concretely for each step, how it fits for each little piece of cake.

Presumably the problem is that the 60s were always installed on the inside. At least that was the plan of the tiler. Then it became too tight for 40cm on the outside and the triangle appeared. The other way around would probably have been better.

To sketch it out for each level oneself would have eliminated the possibility of it being only pseudo-understood.

Yes, hindsight is always 20/20... You also trust people too much because you yourself are just an amateur.

And the professional should also be aware of this confidence and in such a case say: dear layperson, thinking purely mathematically (80+60 or 60+80), it will look like joint avoidance, but unfortunately not nice (even without the misunderstanding of the order).

From my point of view, the professional should have suggested here (and I wonder, doesn’t he have a wife to tell him this) laying the 80s (or 60s, but not mixed, because the batch miscolor problem should have been clear to him) in the middle of the running line. That would have resulted in one more joint, but not as a botched central stripe.

Here are 2 more photos. I'm not really happy with the joint pattern. What do you think, could it have been done more harmoniously?
