Hello Matthias, every tile can be removed! I am not aware of any case in which this would not be possible for a trained tiler – even considering a locally difficult situation.

Hello everyone,

now I can at least give an update here.

The tiler was here and according to his assessment, the adhesion between the tile and the substrate was not sufficient. However, the tile under the stairs could not be removed.

In the end, the staircase builder had to dismantle part of the staircase to fix the problem.

Finally, I am now wondering who will bear the costs for dismantling the staircase. Do I have to cover them in the end, or the tiler, because he is ultimately responsible for the defect?

Thanks and best regards
Matthias

Your GÜ/GU - or have you contracted individual trades?

I have awarded individual trades together with my architect.

Hello Matthias.
"Who bears the costs?", is your question
From a purely technical point of view, we are now approaching the legal one.
Only the lawyers can (or should) answer that, but not those without legal training.
Basically, it is (jokingly put) like "in the pub":
>Whoever orders the music also pays for it<
In practice, the costs (for example, now incurred by you) must be claimed through legal channels if a voluntary assumption of costs by one of the parties does not occur.

Hello,

I did not expect to receive legal advice here, especially not for free. That is certainly not the purpose of a forum.

However, I am interested in the experiences that others may have had in similar situations. That was the origin of my question.

Thank you and regards
Matthias
