How much does it roughly cost to have tiles laid? Is it based on an hourly rate or per square meter?
Best regards
That varies somewhat regionally. For example, I (psst internal) charge including construction chemicals 30.00 €/m² up to a medium-sized tile (max 40x40). After that, there are graduated surcharges in 10% increments.
Including construction chemicals means primer, adhesive (C2), flexible grout, joint mortar, surface sealing in wet areas, and silicone. I want to add that I do not use no-name products.
Leveling and filling work as well as the associated materials are billed separately.
For me, tiling is calculated and offered by m² or project fee, because in my opinion this gives the customer a more secure feeling and they can somewhat control it. It can quickly anger the customer if with an hourly offer the employee stands out with longer lunch and cigarette breaks and/or the construction site drags on unnecessarily due to slow work.
