Hey guys, some people here apparently think that you can really justify any insane price... Then it's simply not a 30k saving, I do wonder how you come up with a total of 15k for materials, but whatever now. 25k for the work is definitely a hefty sum. What kind of craftsman is that? I assume a one-man operation would be done with this story in 4 weeks. If you take out the VAT, it's 20k monthly salary. If anyone now comes up with the idea and says they need 8 weeks... then it's still 10k revenue/income/profit... in my opinion, it's and remains not an option!

We have now signed a construction contract for approximately 125m² of floor and wall tiles. 2x walk-in showers including sloped screed, 2x niches, all waterproofing, all floor preparations and work materials from the tiler. Tile price is 35€. Total costs are 18k. Additional costs will include wastage, retention for security, and extras that we agree on site.

In BW? Also quite something. Hopefully the quality is right...

Yep. A reputable tile-laying company on site with a very good reputation. It can always turn out differently, but you can't know that. I can report back once it's done in mid-May.

Sorry but no one claimed that 40k€ is justified. I find 30k€ realistic. Exterior and interior plastering also cost 35k€. No one questions the prices or the work duration there either. Oh right, that's because DIYers don't dare to take it on.

35 for exterior plus interior plaster is rather cheap, as a DIYer I wouldn't bother at all! compared to 200 m² of tiles, that is considerably more work
