For your large area, I would get more offers. We also had two significantly cheaper offers (50%) available. The quality of the offers and the process to get them was very questionable and we feared that there would only be trouble later.

Tell me, do you even believe your own answer? Where are there craftsmen who are not fully booked? We live here in a structurally strong region where everyone is currently building. And I thought my price was high, so I looked for alternatives. @TE Find at least 2 more quotes.

Sure, every day nationwide, I do nothing else but build real estate (or rather, my clients do). Be glad you got such an extremely low price – but don’t complain if the quality later might not meet your expectations. Where are you building?

They charge €84.65 net per sqm for 45/90 cm tiles. What’s normal about that?
Plus separately charged small items.

Half would be reasonable, maybe a flat €50.

That’s a defensive offer and nothing else.
Or he doesn’t feel like installing your provided tiles, ask him about the material as well.
Or simply go directly to another one.

Yes, also net, €47/m².

For 2 bathrooms with showers + utility room, just under €10k gross including tiles.

We could have had it from about €5-6k as well. Of course, I would have liked to pay less. But for us, it was absolutely the right decision to choose the more expensive one in this case, although we did not base the decision on the price.
