Baseboards can be cut. That won't be the problem.

Our tiler had the baseboards cut in advance from a tile package by a service provider. It was top-notch. But that only works with continuously fired tiles, not with glazed ones.

Around the corner from me, someone has a waterjet cutting system for the large formats (240x120 and 320x160) and a tile saw system for skirting boards which then grinds the edges again and grinds a chamfer on them.

Yes, the latter was used by us. However, this is usually only available to larger companies and even then not necessarily on the construction site. Therefore, we were asked in advance whether we wanted to have it cut on the construction site or beforehand. The latter does have somewhat higher material consumption (preferably a few extra strips) and more complex logistics (having one or two packages of tiles delivered not to the construction site but to the service provider).

For this reason as well, early contact with the craftsman is really good!

correct. I just wanted to mention the topic. Because if the tiler then installs 60cm baseboards for you (I've seen it before) because there were no others and he can't cut them either, it looks so awful that it doesn't matter which system you used to lay your tiles since you only see this "accident".
