So I don't find the laminate as bad as advocated by Neige. We will also lay "cheap laminate" on the upper floor because at some point the budget pencil will have to come into play. If money is no object, then I would choose vinyl or parquet on the upper floor for the bedrooms and children's rooms. But that is twice as expensive as laminate, so for now it will stay that way. And with underfloor heating, it’s not as terribly cold as is always said.
