It is also possible that you have two pipes leading to the sewer. And the bathroom downstairs simply was not connected to the vent.

:) Yes, of course. I obviously mean nothing to do with the ventilation system. I have now tried to trace the pipe routes using old pictures. And if I interpret this correctly, it is apparently actually the case that the lower bathroom and the upper bathroom have 2 separate pipes and only merge "underground." That would, of course, be bad. Attached are pictures again. The main bathroom upstairs is connected correctly. Downstairs, probably not.

Well, probably a mistake in the architect's planning :( No idea what can still be done about it. Please report what the sanitary installer suggests as a solution, I would be interested in that.
