What surprises me: didn’t this become apparent earlier!? For example, we already saw the position before the screed etc.

Our shower drain channel is 80cm wide for a 90cm shower. About 5 cm away from the back wall, centered.
Our channel was already installed before the floor. The area of the shower has no screed but was created with a kind of concrete with a slope. Important are the seals that are on the channel, that they are really properly installed. It is one of three waterproofing layers in the shower...
