The clock is also ticking for heat pumps, as the current refrigerant contains PFAS. PFAS is supposed to be banned from 2027, then repairs will no longer be possible.

Unfortunately, that is simply wrong.

Now the big advantage or disadvantage currently is that there is no heating system in the building. Previously, gas individual stoves were installed, one in each living room.

Therefore, everything has to be new. Since we don’t want to remove the entire floor in the upper floor and attic, the idea there was to switch to low-temperature radiators, as they will only be bedrooms.

I can’t say much about the three devices at the moment, but the prices look very reasonable—only the question is whether this will be passed on to the customer that way?

Thanks for your answers, I will keep you updated on what ideas the energy consultant has.

The most relevant factor is always the highest required temperature in the house. If the radiators (whether with or without fans) can warm the rooms with 35/30, there is nothing against combining that with the ceiling heating on the ground floor.

I’m saying, the markup is with the installers. We have a sanitary/heating dealer who sells to craftsmen and private individuals. They also have an installer as a subsidiary company who passes on the prices 1:1. Their offers compared to the self-proclaimed premium installer in town are miles apart.

What is wrong about that? PFAS are present in heat pumps, both in parts (seals and hoses) and in the refrigerant. Whether the refrigerant can be replaced and what disadvantages that will have remains to be seen.

Hello everyone,

Had an appointment with EEB, IFSP was presented. Then came the cost estimate from EEB who was also supposed to do construction supervision. All in all, he calculated 315k, he also wants to have this amount available to carry out the renovation. Additionally, 30k for construction supervision.

Simply asked, has anyone here renewed their gas condensing boiler in the last two years and is still satisfied?

I really want to be part of the whole transformation in Germany but who wants/should pay for it?

I am a bit puzzled whether only the measures from the IFSP with 160k should be implemented.
