Telekom connection - line already laid, still have to pay 600€?

I applied for my internet/telephone connection with Telekom. In the meantime, however, the telephone cable has already been laid into the house by the energy provider (small regional company).

The cable only needs to be connected to Telekom's cable and the "APL box" inside needs to be connected. No more earthworks are required. (I wanted to do all of these at once, which succeeded).

I have now read that Telekom is not allowed to charge for the connection in this case – can anyone happen to provide me with more information?

I am afraid that you will have to argue there... and lose.

As far as I know, Telekom always charges a flat fee, no matter how much work they actually had with the connection...

With us, it was a cooperation between the local network operator and Telekom. Telekom charges the end customer, and the supplier lays the line. Or did you pay the energy supplier extra for the connection?

By the way: excavation work would be added on top again ;).

The Telekom informed us that the energy provider will lay the connection. So it could be that the same happened to you without you being informed separately.

I also think that you will pay one way or another. If you have not paid the connection to the energy provider, that is correct. Did you have to pay for the cable to the energy provider?

Outside the APL costs nothing - inside there is no additional effort! I place the order for outside and tell the technician that the cable is already inside - if he doesn't want to, he should lay new cable outside...
