Hello everyone,
we are building a small house with 125m² without a basement and would therefore like to keep the technical room as small as possible. In our technical room, the following items should find space: fuse box, hot water tank, electricity meter/water meter, heat transfer station, possibly water softener, possibly preparation for [Photovoltaik]. In addition, a decentralized ventilation system is planned.
Could the technology be accommodated under the stairs (which are planned at the entrance)?
Or split the technology and place it partly under the stairs and partly, for example, in the utility room on the upper floor?
We are very grateful for ideas.
Best regards, Roni

Hello Roni, if you want to accommodate all that down there, then you need a large staircase. It should also be noted that certain minimum distances must be maintained for water and electrical distributors.

Heat transfer station sounds like district heating. A friend of mine has one too. It is about 1x1m on the wall and a buffer storage tank for domestic hot water with about 1sqm base area.

My ventilation system is 0.6x0.6x0.4 m on the wall, but you also need plenty of space for dampers, distributors, etc.

My inverters are also mounted on the wall (1x1m space requirement), water softener also about 1sqm of floor space.

So already a bit more than what I would imagine under a staircase.

maybe you have a floor plan so that one can take a look at it.

And, don't forget, several lines go up from there and they don't pass through the stairs.

Hello Roni, where do you imagine placing the washing machine, dryer, vacuum cleaner, and so on, if you don't even allocate space for the important technology? Where is the technician supposed to stay when carrying out inspections? At what point should the pipes from outside enter the interior of the house? Where should the main water valve be located? I suggest you visit a model house and pay attention to the installed technology.

You need to be able to stand cleanly in front of the fuse box and there must be space behind it so that it can fly backward when hit ^^ (ideally the entrance door behind it). I think 5-6 sqm is the minimum. If you want to save space, you should forgo the window, as that would also be wall mounting surface.

I agree and also claim that it should be at least 5-6 sqm. Waltzers may still not be able to dance inside, but the extra cost for contortionists is eliminated. Not to mention distancing rules that should (must) be observed.
