Just checked... my current Panasonic TV in the living room and the associated Denon receiver simply go back to standby after a power loss. That absolutely brings nothing for the control, apart from the fact that you have to take the remote control in your hand anyway if it is not automated. Only the power saving thing applies for long absences.

I can confirm that. We had planned that... the TV didn't go along with it. Now a floor lamp is plugged into the socket.

Oled TV should always be left connected to the power supply as they often run an internal burn-in protection or brightness adjustment when they are in standby mode. In extreme cases, otherwise, they can break.

With conventional installation, we only have the hotel switch in the bedroom (night lights and ceiling light can be switched from the door and the bed), and all sockets are switchable at a height of 3m

Hihi. At a height of 3m, my sockets are already in the apartment of the floor above - that would be funny if I could switch them ;-)
