Hello everyone,

we are about to start everything and are currently waiting for the soil survey and the survey measurement to determine the final price.
The fact that the soil survey is essential makes sense to know how much digging is needed.
But what is the survey measurement important for?

Thanks and best regards
Douska

The surveyor first stakes out the property in new development areas so that the area can be identified at all. Then he stakes out the planned building corners so that the geologist drills at the correct location - usually at two opposite building corners. The survey can also be important to verify the elevations. This results in the effort for the foundation costs or earthworks.

To verify elevation levels means to check and confirm the exact height measurements of the terrain or land compared to a reference point (like sea level). This is important because the height differences affect how much earth has to be moved, filled, or excavated to create stable foundations for the buildings. Depending on the elevation data, more or less work may be required for the foundation and earthworks, which directly influences the costs and effort involved.

Flat plot: Usually cheaper.
Hilly plot: Usually more expensive.

The answer is: I don’t know. And the reason for that is not my ignorance but your sparseness of information. Here are my questions: Who are you and if so, how many? When is the start planned? What is going to be started (land negotiations, floor plan design, building application, ...)? Have the soil reports and the surveying already been commissioned? If yes, by whom? Is there a development plan (according to §8 Building Code)? Does the land exist (in terms of the land registry regulation §3)?
