An awning is not really recommended for him because of the angle. I don't think much of sail shades. Here anyway, they are too often blown to pieces.
What do you mean by the angle?
I thank you all in advance for the answers.
We thought about it again over the weekend and saw a few things in the new development area.. Sail shades can be great, but if you don’t need them, there’s too much "stuff" hanging around.
A fixed roof might be "in," but we don’t really like it. In the sun you get roasted, and with an awning on the roof, I get the feeling I wouldn’t be sitting outside.
So it’s down to just an awning or an umbrella. An awning would be possible if we build a steel frame about 3 meters high on the right side where the stones are (a hedge will go there now), then it would fit the way we want. But: we would have a freestanding pole (that is the awning box) constantly hanging in the air between the house wall and the frame, and we don’t know if that looks good.
An umbrella is really great. However, it doesn’t really keep the rain out, does it?
We found something in between – it’s called Markilux Planet – does anyone know about it?
Best regards and many thanks
