Sun protection for slanted gable windows

Hello Hendrik1980 I just came across this thread. We are currently in exactly the same situation where we don't really know how to properly shade our large slanted window area under the gable. The discussion was some time ago. How did you solve it? I would be very interested!

We have divided the windows and decided to shade only the crucial slanted gables. The upper triangle will remain open on both the east and west sides. See the sketch (red will be left open, green shaded). We assume that the roof overhang will also have a certain effect on direct sunlight.

Okay, I think this is a practical solution. How large is your roof overhang? For us, it is (only) 80cm.
