Hi,

this here:

I hadn't fully answered yet: The shower partition is full height, which feels airy enough for us. Good lighting in the shower is important, so a few spotlights in the ceiling. Since the partition is full height, we were also able to install an almost ceiling-high mirror on the "sink wall." That looks really good! :-)

Best regards,

Andreas

Ok, I just wanted to mention the alternative :)

The washbasin wall will of course be a bit shorter with the L-solution since you need about 100cm at the toilet – with a T-solution, maybe 80cm would be enough.
Our shower (side wall) is about 150cm + passage. Total length from front side to front side is about 227cm. Yours is only 170cm according to the plan, or am I reading something wrong? The water from the rain shower indeed splashes up to about the end of the wall (a bit further for my wife too :) ).

To also answer the second question: Our partition wall is only about 2m high. Still, the light has to be turned on while showering even if the room is otherwise bright. We have two built-in LED lights in the shower, each with 5 watts.
However, on recommendation from the electrician, our partition wall was built as a 24cm wall, since otherwise, according to VDE(?), he would not have been allowed to install normal sockets on the other side (at the washbasins).

that may have been confusing. I posted two floor plans. The one with the 170 cm in the shower is the existing house with a 90*90 shower tray. The new house will have a walk-in shower with a depth of about 210 cm.
Best regards Andreas

Yes, I just scrolled up a bit. The new floor plan is great. Your bathroom is a bit wider than ours, so a T-solution fits perfectly, of course.

Hello you two!

First of all, thank you for your time!

Jochen, I know your thread, I thought the solution was great, it inspired me to try the L-solution as well :-) I’m attaching a sketch. However, I discarded it partly because of the shortened "sink wall"; on the other hand, for me, due to the pipe routing, the tub should be on the T-wall and the sink on the right wall in front of the window, which was not yet clear to me when creating the L-sketch. And therefore, I fear – both with the T and the L – a "stockiness" if the tub is placed in the middle...

What is your opinion on variants 3 and 4? From my point of view, this one is the least visually appealing, but possibly the most spacious in terms of space conditions regarding the sanitary fixtures and freedom of movement (large shower, sufficient distance in front of toilet/bidet/sink)...

My problem is probably primarily my poor imagination and my lack of decisiveness :)

Best regards, Wulf
