Do we still receive the full funding if we continue to operate our existing gas condensing boiler after installing an air-water heat pump and solar thermal system? On August 9, 2022, we submitted a funding application for the installation of an air-water heat pump and solar thermal system. We checked the box: "I am applying for funding for the following systems: Heating technology for the use of renewable energies including renewable energy hybrid heating systems." Now we are considering keeping the existing gas condensing boiler to heat more cost-effectively with gas at low temperatures. However, we are worried about losing the funding (35% for the air heat pump and 30% for the solar thermal system). This concern arises because the press always talks about the "replacement" of the old heating system in connection with the funding. Does anyone have experience regarding this? Can someone explain why we would still receive the funding?
