That means these services MUST come from the structural engineer? Or can the KFW expert also prepare the thermal insulation certificate?

These documents must be submitted to the approving authority before, or at the latest by, the start of construction.

Not just "or" - the thermal insulation certificate must be prepared by a state-recognized expert in sound and thermal insulation. If the structural engineer also has this certification, he can prepare the certificate; if he is "only" a structural engineer, the aforementioned expert must perform the calculations.

That means I understand correctly: any energy or heat aspects must anyway be taken into account and determined by the KfW expert on our side, so that these matters can be excluded from the structural engineer services?

In advance - please fill out your profile according to the forum rules; "B." is not a job title!

You have an architect; he will know which tasks he has to assign to whom.

Do you have a well-founded fear that errors could occur on his part in this regard or why are you asking so explicitly?

Rhineland regards

Indeed, I have not received any clarity on this point from the architect and have therefore inquired here. Thank you very much for the answers.

Then you should have a clarifying conversation with your architect and – depending on the outcome – in my opinion reconsider continuing to employ them. I expect an architect to comprehensively inform their clients; even more so than from a salesperson. Edit: Thanks! Rhine greetings
