Stream in the garden!

Hello, I would very much like to have a stream in the garden, unfortunately I have no slope and therefore I cannot imagine how that should work? How can I create a stream in a flat garden, so far I have been unable to find anything about it, is it even possible?

Hello Klaus, even if you don’t have a slope, the stream bed is doable. You just have to install a pump so that the water flows. However, you should still see where the lowest point of your garden is, because the water should flow there. There are very nice bowls with which you can realistically simulate a stream.

It is not true that no slope is needed; there should be a slight incline, otherwise the water cannot flow. You cannot move the water from A to B with just a pump alone. Besides, it always looks more natural if there is a little bit of slope. If you don’t have that, then a pond would be the better solution.

We also built a stream bed, using a liner, but it was a real hassle because there were leaks all the time and the liner spread the water everywhere except where we wanted it. In the end, we bought ready-made trays.
