Hello everyone, Since the electrical appliances through the kitchen planners are almost always close to the RRP (feeling at least 50% more expensive than in retail), I would like to know your strategy regarding the appliances? Of course, there are advantages to obtaining the appliances through a kitchen studio/planner, but I do not find the outrageous surcharge justified. Do you have experience contacting single and wholesale dealers or competing furniture stores/planners and having them give you an offer? Or are the "idealo" prices (reputable dealers) still the best way? Over the weekend, I noticed that prices from MediaMarkt, etc. sometimes do not appear there even though they can be found on the MediaMarkt homepage (but this varies from device to device)

To be honest, I can't think of any reason, except for the electrical connection at the cooktop, why you shouldn't be able to procure and install a kitchen appliance yourself.

The price at the kitchen studio is not necessarily outrageous because they also deliver it to you for that price (+ 49 EUR, in some cases already 69 EUR to the desired location) and install it. And they want to make a profit as well; they don't push such appliances through with small margins and huge volumes like MediaMarkt or myBauer.

Not everyone participates in idealo either. The companies pay for this, as it is indirectly a mediation
.. And not everyone who offers something can deliver immediately or at all, but they do offer it without guarantee.

Edit: So, I can write the provider, but this forum software mangles foreign addresses.

We bought our current kitchen (rental apartment) from the carpenter. The carcasses came from the kitchen manufacturer, the solid wood elements from the carpenter. He said he could also get us the electrical appliances through the kitchen manufacturer, but he also directly advised us to get them ourselves. He installed them anyway.

Mediamarkt partially has its own model designation to prevent any comparison.

The problem will be that the kitchen builder calculates again with his mixed calculation; if he leaves something out now, will he really give you the price 1 to 1?

When comparing prices, you really have to be careful to compare exactly the same device. Manufacturer and model name are not enough; each model also has a cryptic variant (e.g., for ovens with/without pyrolysis, steam, ...) and a single letter can make a big difference in the price.
