Storage cellar despite insulation?

Within the thermal envelope, classical storage in my opinion is not possible. So you can either take the basement out of the thermal envelope or build an additional basement (under the garage). The longer distance would not bother me; it is not about a few groceries for daily needs (for that, most people have refrigerators and kitchen cabinets), but about classical storage. Just as others go to the (super)market, you go to your storage basement.

Not to be too much of a spoilsport:

How much stock do you want to store? Canned goods, flour, pasta, rice, and similar stuff can easily be stored in the utility room or even a warm cellar. So that leaves only potatoes, vegetables, fruit.

For that, 2-3 large refrigerators should be more than enough. Then you’re looking at a 1200-1800 € investment plus 100-150 € electricity costs per year. And you will never again run out of space for drinks! :cool:

An additional cellar under the garage is likely to be a little more expensive.

By the way, the new refrigerators also have modern vegetable zones :)
