Hello everyone!
I am now at the point with my kitchen installation where I want to attach the wall panels in the next few days.
The base will be a smooth surface of a hardboard panel.
I also considered using rails, but that will be difficult because the back front is supposed to be a passage and threading it in can be quite complicated. Besides, I couldn’t find a suitable rail in 4 different hardware stores! That’s why I decided to go with gluing.
I have a kitchen unit that is 2.35 m long, so very small – and I also want to attach a panel on the left and right of the unit – basically U-shaped!

Does anyone have experience with gluing wall panels? I have the satin-colored ones!
Does it work well? Because the "raw" panels are a bit warped and not 100% flat!
I would be very happy to receive tips and experiences!
Best regards, Stefan

I simply glued it with a good (!) carpet tape. However, you have to be very careful, as subsequent adjustments of the position are difficult.

Hello,

as an experienced Ikea kitchen salesperson, I can tell you that at Ikea we tell customers the following:
either double-sided tape or silicone.

There are no more rails, which I personally find a pity.

Did you buy the Fastbo for €9.99 or the one for €17.99? The €9.99 one was taken out of the range because it was of questionable quality (it warped over time). The €17.99 one is the replacement and is more expensive because it is much better.

hope this helped

best regards Küchenhexe
