Hi everyone!

We just went over our floor plan again. Our architect recommended a "einläufig halbgewendelte Treppe" for our floor plan.
However, an acquaintance said that would be totally silly because the landing would be right in the middle of the room. -And I think he's right.
What do you find nicer/more practical: a "einläufig halbgewendelte Treppe" or a "einläufig grade Treppe"?

I have attached our floor plan and another example of how it could also look.

Thanks for your feedback!

Best regards!

???? The two floor plans are totally different and do not show what you probably want to clarify.

Yes, that's true... They are completely different. I'm only talking about the different stairs and entrances here... So how it looks later... What is nicer and more practical. Whether you go up in the middle and take a kind of spiral staircase or whether you go up along the wall with only a short bend.

We have a half-turned staircase - it starts in the hallway.

By now, the whole thing is finished and has a handrail, etc. We like it a lot. What could speak against it:

[*]When the children play in the hallway, we can hear it quite well in the dining room (unless we close the door - but that rarely happens).

[*]The steps are - as is typical for this type of staircase - all different; there are certainly more comfortable, more intuitive staircase designs.

Sorry, but you can't approach it like that. You wrote that you already have a floor plan .. it was also about the bedroom and children's room. You can't just arbitrarily replace a spiral staircase with a straight one regardless of the floor plan. *shakes head*

...yes. We already have a finished floor plan. And somehow questions keep coming up whether that is exactly what one wants. We ourselves have no idea about it and it's so much money, you want to make it as nice and practical as possible. To be honest, I didn't think it would be a problem to swap one type of staircase as long as there is enough space...
