Actually, you have all the necessary information. For the 60° spots, you have a max distance of about 2 meters. Arrange them in the walkways in the middle (consider if there is furniture on the sides). In the other rooms, you start in the areas where you need the light and then go outward. But please no grid over the entire ceiling ;) As already mentioned above, also consider possible glare, e.g. at the headboard of the bed. There are some examples on the internet showing how to arrange this and suggestions with patterns.

With these inexpensive spots, I would install the same ones everywhere. We are talking about additional costs in the basement of maybe 150€. Plus two pieces as a reserve (about 70€). So it doesn’t matter where one breaks and you won’t have the problem with different light colors, illumination, etc....

Just write an email to Voltus. Maybe they’ll do a small plan for you...

Do you know if there is a Dialux file for the Voltus spots? Can't find anything about it right now.

No idea sorry. I would just ask. I bought some KNX components there. Always great contact and fast delivery. I think they can help you. I have only seen them at a friend’s place. We have different spots and professional lighting planning.

Great - basic brightness leads further. Here are a few rough tips on that: 1. So that you and the electrician are talking about the same thing: It’s about recessed ceiling lights. A spot has a narrow beam angle (like a spotlight that illuminates only one actor on stage). A flood has a wide beam angle (like flooding a room with light). 2. For general even illumination, you need floods. 3. Light diffuser panels increase the uniformity of the light and reduce possible glare. 4. To get flicker-free LED light when dimming, you need phase-cut dimmers. They cost money. In the hallway, you can possibly do without and instead use better lights. In the bedroom, dimmable is great. 5. Luminous flux for the hallway approx. 150lm per sqm 6. Luminous flux for the bedroom can be lower (since it is dimmable), 120lm per sqm is OK. Work areas would go towards 300lm per sqm. 7. Light color in the hallway rather daylight-like, definitely more than 3500 Kelvin, in the bedroom warmer, 3000 Kelvin or less, I find 2700 Kelvin good there. 8. Pay attention to a CRI >91 in the bedroom. The CRI is an index indicating the color rendering accuracy. So: The larger the beam angle and the stronger the diffuser, the larger you can choose the distance of the recessed lights for an even illumination. The price won’t get cheaper because the fewer lights you use, the more luminous flux (lumens) they must emit to reach the recommended amount of light. Now you can play a bit with the arrangement.

Do you maybe have an example product? I can't find recessed lights with a beam angle larger than 42°
