I wrote it because of your statement here: In this respect, I don't understand YOUR confused reply to mine.

What is there not to understand? I don’t like gravel, yes. recommended gravel and pointed out a possible solution. That way, one might not see the disliked gravel. So everything great, right? Doesn’t matter. I think the tip is great.

Of course, it is a nice thing, and Haydee's garden looks very beautiful. But honestly: for me to get involved here in your "problem" "I-don't-like-stones" and then you say: ... that I have to justify myself for my answer (manners explain themselves) I find somewhat confusing. When you get an answer, you react differently. So it's more about the border around the bed and not about the splash guard? You don't see bed borders anyway once the shrubs thrive?! P.S. the original thread definitely says gravel and splash guard, also in terms of content. But whatever, for me now, I'm done here. Incorrectly asked questions drain too much energy.

No no no... I haven't been here that long. But long enough to have the feeling that your posts have changed. At first, I really appreciated your posts. Constructive, positive, critical. Added value for those asking. That impression has changed. From my point of view, you are only contra, provocative, destructive and more. I can no longer take you seriously. Which is a shame, because it was completely the opposite before.

Tarnari had also asked about grass edge alternatives. Splash guards only work with stone. There must be no standing water. This is how it looks at the moment. The plants have been in for less than a year. Hopefully, the roses will bloom more then.

Put wooden cladding in that area and then attach trellises for the plants to the wooden cladding.
