you mean now into the KG pipe? Normally you take the PE pipe to the boundary up to where it is filled because the galvanized pipes (here downpipe) do not like to have damp feet. But you probably won't change that now anymore. At your front door, you used such an orange plastering tape. With that you can tape a strip around the downpipe so that nothing falls in or gets flushed in. If you ever remove the downpipe (e.g. for painting), you have to dig it out anyway. Then you can simply remove the tape again.

Yes, I meant the KG pipe. Orange tape? Now I first had to look what you meant. That is still original on the door threshold. In other words, I don't have something like that at all. But now I know what to look for.... Plasterer tape. Would a Pantertape also do? But wouldn't it be sensible to wrap the tape as high as the KG pipe normally would be, if you say the zinc pipe doesn’t like wet feet?

Because of the separation of the two materials, gravel / stones, which fleece should be used there? Does it have to be something special because of the water permeability? Just regular weed control fleece, or...?

Yes, of course you can also use duct tape, but you just won’t get it off so easily again. It’s only about preventing anything from falling in and nothing being washed in. You can also wrap [Noppenbahn] around it, then the pipe might not stay damp. Just for your information. I also placed my downpipe in the splash guard because otherwise I simply don’t like it. When it’s worn out, I’ll just get a new one, done.
