Thank you for the recommendation. What is the price per m^2 for wir-leben-haus? Where do the craftsmen come from if they don't build regionally? Thank you :)

Wir Leben Haus is local for us; most of the craftsmen really come from around the church tower. They would be the ones I would have chosen for individual contracts as well. The farthest one, I believe, was the scaffolder from the Fulda area. They take many craftsmen from our region with them. If that doesn’t work, as far as I know, they look for locally based ones. So no tenders where the cheapest wins and communication happens with hands and feet. You also have a fixed site manager who is really your contact person and manages the construction site. We had €2,000 per sqm in 2017 without the floor slab and retaining wall behind the house, ready to move in. It really depends a lot on the equipment. They are extremely flexible there. They can do anything from a hardware store showerhead to a designer rain shower built-in. No idea about current prices. Best to call.

Thank you, I also know your area quite well. My extended family comes from Römershag and hasn’t spread out too much ^^. You probably even know one or two craftsmen there.
We live about 4 hours away, so it’s difficult to just go back and forth easily.
I’ve looked at a few brochures, and the concept looks good so far. I’ll just call them later and inquire.
Thank you.

That’s true, it’s difficult with 4 hours. Back then, they came to us at the beginning. You just have to talk. Römershag. It’s really not far away. Just talk to the company. You have nothing to lose. Two users who are no longer active have built with them. You can google Autark with Passive House, she has documented a lot, and here in the forum.

We have a fixed price until move-in, so without a time limit, that was important to us back then. But currently, the fixed price doesn't benefit us at all, as Kaufmann is not adhering to the contract. Kaufmann also rejects a 50% cost-sharing. Price increases have certainly already been factored into your offer.

If that is true, I would definitely involve a lawyer and sue for damages.
