Hello,

we have a small kitchen, need to slowly give the installer information about the connections and are therefore forced to think about the kitchen. Attached is our idea - honestly, we don’t see any other arrangement option. That’s why I’m asking here now for tips, criticism and maybe even other alternatives.

A few more details:
- Kitchen is open to the dining/living area
- Refrigerator is already available
- Wall behind the refrigerator is extra narrow to be able to "recess" it 10 cm and save space
- Pull-out pantry would be nice
- Built-in oven is a "must"
- Passage between refrigerator and counter is 1.00 m
- Access from the hallway through an outer (hallway-side) sliding door

Questions:
- Is there a more sensible way to arrange oven, cooktop, sink, dishwasher?
- Better to choose an L-shape instead of hinting at a U-shape / Is the passage between refrigerator too narrow? The U-shape would have the charm of being able to have drawers accessible from the outside = from the dining table.

Wishes:
- Induction
- Carousel for pots under the cooktop
- Stone countertop (due to budget first candidate to cut)

Budget: 10,000 - 12,000 €

Many thanks in advance!

Normally, you go to the kitchen studio and have it planned. They then in turn need the electrical plan from you.

Does nothing exist here at all?

Has the water already been laid?

We also plan to have the days planned and offered in a kitchen studio. I thought "kitchen floor plans" would also be discussed here. Sorry if I am wrong about that.

Well, where the electrical/water connections go depends on the planning, right? Currently, only water pipes are lying on the floor and the electrician hasn't started yet.

My understanding is also that the plumber and electrician need the planning as input and not the other way around. Am I wrong?

No, I don't think you're wrong, at least.

That's exactly the great thing about a new build, that you can do everything the way you want. That's why I would probably (that's how we do it too) plan the kitchen the way you want it, and then the electrical/plumbing planning follows that.

Regarding your plan:

I would probably arrange it differently:

Instead of the apothecary cabinet (cost driver), a second tall cabinet.
I would then swap the two tall cabinets with the side-by-side fridge.

Advantage: The passage to the dining and living area will not be blocked as often, since you probably don't stand in front of the oven as often as in front of the open fridge. Also, I don't know how the fridge behaves when the wood-burning stove next to it is running at full power.

I would also swap the sink and dishwasher, since that makes the most important workspace (between the sink and the cooktop) larger.
