Hello,
we have a sloping plot with a north-south gradient of 3m over 25m length. That makes a 6.8° incline/decline.
So, we have not yet been to an expert, but would like to know your opinions and experiences beforehand. Which construction method for the ground floor would you choose:
1. Level everything on one plane and have a full ground floor, not filling the earth at the highest point (south side) against the house?
2. Level everything on one plane and have a full ground floor, filling the earth at the highest point (south side) against the house (natural insulation)?
3. Half a ground floor up to almost the middle of the slope?
4. Full ground floor and stilts to compensate for the slope?

Or is the incline/decline much too small for the above considerations?

Thanks and regards

From which side is the access? A sketch or site plan of the property would be helpful.

Hello,
if I understand correctly, you are planning without a basement?
With the mentioned slope, I would definitely build with a basement and use the basement on the south side as living space with a terrace, and put a balcony above it on the ground floor. But with a site plan/sketch, you will certainly make it easier for us.

Hello
I quickly made a small sketch. The plot is 1,100 sqm, sloping in a north-south direction, about 3m by 25m.
The house should actually be without a basement (costs), a city villa about 10x10m. I still have to work out a site plan with house and garage but wanted to check in advance what makes sense.
Thank you

ok... so a south-north gradient. What does your architect say? Have your project including the basement calculated. I wouldn't build on this property without a basement, but that's my personal opinion....

I have the problem with our property (bretteben) that a basement simply becomes too large to build economically.

My dream has always been to integrate the garage into the basement. Then the remaining basement is exactly as large as it makes sense to be. Additionally, you have the possibility to access the basement at ground level (washing machine..) and if you want to have a workshop, you can locate it by the garage and then have the tools where you need them or you can create more space by parking the cars outside.
