Hello dear house builders, homeowners, and construction experts,
I am studying civil engineering and currently have to plan the construction of a 4-story house for study purposes. For this, I have initially chosen the timber frame construction method.
Now I intended to simply use wall and ceiling elements made of concrete and/or wood.
However, today my contact person explained to me that it is not possible to plan solely with the prefabricated construction method (except for the foundation), as the connection of the individual prefabricated components is too complicated and it is preferable to cast the walls and ceilings in concrete.
This is the first time I have heard about this today, and I would therefore like to ask the homeowners and construction experts here what they think about this and whether the ceilings and walls really have to be cast in concrete if the structural framework is retained?
Thank you in advance,
Mufin
