Hello everyone,

we have now managed to create a first floor plan. What do you think?! What can be improved and what is not so well done?!

Hello, please read the and provide additional information (not everything has to be mentioned) so that a constructive discussion can take place for you. From the brief look so far, it already looks quite acceptable. Regards Yvonne

So I actually really like it! Just one thing: where in the living room is the TV?

A few measurements would be nice, but otherwise it looks good

2m line on the upper floor would also be good, because otherwise the shower under the sloping roof might not be so comfortable to use ;) ... as I said, important measurements are simply missing.

And, it is also always a bit sensible not to just ask "what do you think of our floor plan," but also to describe a little what one expects from a house, what is a must-have, what would be nice to have, etc.

- The living room wall is about 4m long just as a reference (the one where the small cabinet is drawn)

- The house is 12m x 9m
- Roof pitch: 30 degrees
- Knee wall (or knee plate) will be about 2.20m high.

The arrangement in the bathroom and also in the living room is not final yet. For example, we have a corner sofa, etc.

It was important to us to have all the important rooms like living/dining and kitchen together downstairs and additionally a guest bathroom with shower and a study/guest room.
Actually, we wanted a roughly 10sqm utility room just for laundry etc., but unfortunately the heating (probably a geothermal heat pump) will also be in the utility room. I didn’t want to put the heating in the garage for several reasons. The main reason is that the routes for hot water would be longer—what are your experiences and opinions on that?!

For that reason, we have already planned the space for the washing machine and dryer under the stairs to be able to use that space as well.

Regarding the bay window, it should be said that we actually wanted a flat roof on it. But from some sides, this was discouraged because the sealing supposedly wouldn’t be so good over a longer period. However, after a conversation with a relative who is a roofer, he said that it shouldn’t be a problem to seal it so well that you can easily have peace for the next 20 years.

We are also happy to hear other opinions here!

Thank you very much for your opinions and suggestions!
