That's how it is. Going over to the utility room, the pantry wouldn't be directly adjacent to the kitchen, but it would be located in the north.

That would mean having to cross a 2-meter-wide hallway, but in return, a pantry that can be used and also a better room layout.

And now someone will come and say that this is worse, more complicated, or impossible...

You know, I like to confuse people with alternatives.

Apart from that, the sentence that directly follows:

does not exactly give the impression that the OP is planning his dream house.

I interpret it rather like this: if the plot were two meters longer or wider, the OP would save the entrance from being pushed toward the corner of the carport – but the floor plan in East Prussian style is wanted no matter what.
