And what about doing it yourself? A few pavement slabs don't sound that bad. Maybe you could take a photo of it?

No. The contact person is always the client. Why should they do anything?

I am not allowed to do anything myself, I was told. It has to be done by a specialist company. This concerns roughly 23m² of walkway.

Well, the 10-day deadline for craftsmen. I think, even as Chancellor, you'd have zero chance there. :D

The contact person can be, but liability lies with the perpetrators. Our garden landscaper was really respectful of the city's curbstones. When I asked him why, he said the city imposes hefty fines for leg injuries.

That's nice for you that your garden landscaper is so cautious. Still, the client is always responsible.

Honestly, post #8 does have its point.

I'll phrase it for the OP, since he didn't understand it: "Whoever is damaged doesn't have to worry about ridicule."
