Last night I woke up from an unknown noise.
The shower toilet had turned on its shower without anyone sitting on it... in the middle of the night... hours after the last use.
If I hadn’t noticed it by chance (the door between the bathroom and bedroom was open), we would have a water damage now. As it is, only the opposite wall was affected and the carpet is wet, but it stopped after a few minutes.
It is an AXENT.ONE, which basically seemed to me the best of all those we looked at.
I wrote to the manufacturer and am curious about the response.
My "feeling" is that from now on I can’t leave the house without switching off the fuse for the toilet.
Even if I always close the lid, water could run out through the gap—aside from the fact that water is quite expensive here in North Hessen.

I don’t want to do without the function itself anymore. Cleaning with water is, from my perspective, the only sensible option... but THAT

I just had to tell someone....
What can I do now? ... no idea ...

Hello,

have you already contacted the local ghost hunter?

Otherwise, I would try to have a conversation with the manufacturer.

No idea how such a WC "triggers," but I would first check the sensor/remote control to see if something is dirty or if the button/switch is sticking.

and
the "problem" only occurred hours after the last use. Nothing can be "stuck" – and if it is – you don’t notice it – it can happen again and again.

I would like an explanation for – and assurance against – further damp "incidents" and would, for example, appreciate the following reply:

Dear customer,
the problem has occurred several times. We apologize for this and have corrected the electronics, which we hereby send to you as a component. You can have it installed by a installer of your choice at our expense.
We hereby guarantee that this can never happen again.
Respectfully, Fa. Axent

Well... let’s see what comes

after a few hours delay it’s also "strange" ... a toilet that spits on its own.

that fits the observation I made a few years ago while searching for Bluetooth sources in my apartment.
There was a device in the list, which I couldn’t explain what it could be until I found out it was my toilet.
The device can – in a different version* – be equipped with a remote control – (*which I didn’t take because I didn’t want to depend on a charged battery while taking a dump ...)

Oh wow, the smart home is turning against its inhabitants... Bluetooth in the toilet... crazy. My trust would be gone too.

There are water sensors that can sound an alarm if it gets wet. Can they be temporarily installed in a useful way? Or do they only alarm when there is an actual water level in the bathroom? That doesn’t solve the problem, but maybe it lets you sleep more peacefully if the manufacturer downplays it.

I don't really believe in faulty electronics. I rather think that it was triggered by something. Maybe it was the cat trying to climb up the rotary knob, maybe the APP was open and someone accidentally operated it, maybe the neighbor just connected a Bluetooth device and you happened to confirm it by pressing the rotary knob.

Sometimes things just go wrong. In our living room, a light connected to a switchable socket kept turning off from time to time. Eventually, I figured out that my garage door opener was the culprit.
