Should no power outlet be planned vertically next to the light switch in the bathroom?

Hello. I had originally planned sockets in the bathrooms at a height of 30cm from the finished floor vertically next to the light switch. Our electrician said in conversation that this should be done in all rooms, but not in the bathrooms. Since the shower is far away, that surprises me. Do people really not do that in bathrooms? Is there a reason for that? Our electrician couldn't give me any reasons...

The outlet you mentioned is intended to be used as a vacuum outlet in the different rooms. For safety reasons and because one typically does not vacuum in the bathroom, it is omitted in the bathroom.

we have a normal power outlet in the bathroom about 30cm above the floor, just like in the other rooms, why not? We also vacuum the bathroom, I don’t see any difference compared to other rooms.

Best regards

My electrician wanted to push me to install the sockets directly below the light switch, "so that the housewife doesn't have to bend down." Well, the trend is moving towards cordless vacuum cleaners, but I still find this floor socket useful for the children if they want to connect a CD player or something else there.

Regarding the bathroom:
I deliberately left out this floor socket there because it bothers me visually in the tile pattern. A vacuum cleaner can be plugged into one of the other sockets, for example in the hallway or another room.

I also have a socket in the bathroom at the usual height down low. But it is not used ...

At the beginning, we also went back and forth about whether to install the sockets at 30cm height everywhere or not. For example, upstairs we only had sockets installed under the light switches (at 30cm) height in the children's rooms and in the hallway. That was the right decision. We only have to unplug the vacuum cleaner/suction mop once. It would also work without it. It ultimately depends on the size of the floor and the length of the vacuum cleaner cable. But who unplugs the vacuum cleaner every time when it is not necessary?! Currently, the "big" vacuum cleaner is not used that often anyway, as we always use the cordless vacuum cleaner in everyday life. It is similar on the ground floor. There, only the centrally located socket in the hallway is used.
