So hello first of all, I am the new one.

My wife and I want to build next year and tonight I dealt with the topic of [Blockheizkraftwerk] for the first time.

A few questions about which I didn't really get clear:
- Can such a device be additionally supplied with geothermal energy?
- Are there boilers where you can throw in firewood?
- How does it work if you want to supply neighbors?

Once about me and my residential area. I am a self-employed carpenter and therefore have relatively much wood (waste) available. That's why the question about the firewood. I am building in a rather manageable environment, within a radius of 200 meters from our new home live my parents, the apartment building of one parent (3 units) and also two families each in a single-family house, all of whom I get along well with.
Does it make sense to install a [Blockheizkraftwerk] in my new building and supply the neighbors with it?
That's also why the question about geothermal energy, only with wood that will be difficult, right?
How would it work if I want to supply the neighbors, does it "just need to be registered" or does a direct feed-in have to take place for that?

I know many questions but would still be grateful for any constructive answers.

I have briefly dealt with the topic of combined heat and power plants and never with district heating, but I could imagine that some parties might object. Especially when it comes to electricity. It is probably the case that you will feed the electrical power into the public grid. If no one else objects, this can certainly be realized provided that the lines are not laid on public land and the landowners agree.

A connection to the houses is probably not exactly cheap. And what happens if one or more houses are sold and the new owner does not want this connection on his property?

Whether you have the amount of wood required, you have to know yourself. I have read that a system with 25 kW heat probably requires about 10 kg/h of wood chips.

To supply several houses, the system certainly has to be larger and thus consume more wood. A geothermal system also has to be correspondingly large. So I could imagine that the costs will be quite high and you have to calculate yourself over what period this is recouped.
I could imagine that this only pays off over a long period.

Just look up [Holzvergaser Blockheizkraftwerk].

Maybe you should write that out - hardly anyone knows what that is!
